Tomoshibi Project

The “Tomoshibi Project” is a project where we light blue candles
to remember the Great East Japan Earthquake,

lighting them every month on the 11th. 🕯

Founder Sugiura Keiichi began this project on November 11, 2011,

and we’re now celebrating its 11th year.

This time, we decided to hold the “Tomoshibi Project” on March 11 here at Heiwa Matsuri as well! ✨

Since it’s on Zoom, you can participate from anywhere across Japan.

You can use any candle you have at home, but if you’d like to receive
a blue candle at your doorstep, we can ship one to you
for just the shipping cost (¥198)!
